Brent is a native of Columbus, Ohio who has lived for more than forty years in Indiana.
A graduate of Wilmington College and Earlham School of Religion, Brent's served as a local congregational pastor, a denominational executive, a non-profit executive, and more.
Brent's been writing since the late 1970s and has published a number of books, short stories, articles, and essays.
Trained in photography, Brent can often be seen with his trusty Nikon, trying to capture what he calls "the holy ordinary" -- daily life that opens him to Divine encounters.
Since 2004, Brent has lived on Ploughshares Farm which is approximately 40 acres of former farmland that has been converted to tall grass prairie and native hardwood forests. It is a registered wildlife preserve.
